Corrie – Executive Director

Corrie Burdett first visited Nicaragua in 2012, while serving as a volunteer intern with an organization dedicated to the empowerment of women and children. Since then she has worked with a number of organizations in the region. She brings to the team an excitement for learning, extensive project management experience and a strong sense of social justice.

Mariana – Education Program Director

Mariana Castillo Garcia has a masters degree in secondary education. She works closely with the full CREA team to ensure that education programs are reaching as many students as possible in an impactful way. She leads the tutoring sessions and directs the mobile library program.

Lidieth – Formación Fénix Program Coordinator

Lidieth Alvarez has been working in community development for years – first through her partnership with Casa Verde and now CREA. She is the leader of Formación Fénix, a local youth empowerment project and partner program with CREA. She is continuing her studies as she works toward a degree in Psychology.

Rosa – Formación Fénix Assistant

Rosa Maria Torres Ruiz has been working with Fénix for a few years now. She provides vital support to the program under the direction of Lidieth. Together, they make an awesome team! Rosa is also currently pursuing a degree in Tourism.

Pahola – Administrator

Pahola Amador Obando has always enjoyed working with children. She brings life and creative ideas for learning to CREA as she manages the day to day tasks of the organization.

 

Ruth – Reading Facilitator

Ruth Obando Mairena has been part of the CREA team since the beginning. She is a seasoned Reading Facilitator who helps form and guide the Mobile Team program. She loves working with children and watching them grow!

Ezequiel – Technology Specialist

Ezequiel Amador Martinez is CREA’s resident Technology Specialist! He works with the full team and all programs to make sure everything tech-related runs smoothly. He is continuing his studies as he works toward a degree in Computer Science.
