The Library Services Initiative gets books in the hands of children and adolescents. The Initiative has grown to include over 6,000 books for lending, a Mobile Library that brings books and literacy development to multiple rural communities, Reading Circles that promote reading at CREA and as part of the Mobile Library, and a Mommy and Me program that advocates for literacy development with the youngest of learners.
A gift to CREA supports the organization’s ability to bring books and literacy development to multiple rural communities and instill a love for books and reading.
The Academic Success Initiative provides homework help and additional in-depth learning on key subjects at CREA and in the local communities as many young learners can’t make it to the CREA building. The Initiative provides support for high school students with a dedicated math specialist and language and literature expert. The Initiative aims to involve the full family in the learning of kids and adolescents in coordination with teachers so each child gets the support they need to succeed.
Your gift provides the ability for CREA’s trained team of facilitators to work with hundreds of children and adolescents this year, critical for advancement in education and learning.
The Youth Development Initiative works with a dedicated group of high school students that apply to the program in the last year of primary school or first year of high school. In addition to the accessing services in CREA’s other two Initiatives, this Initiative focuses on leadership development, community service, and forming dreams and goals. Through successful completion of the program and high academic standards finishing high school, participants are eligible to apply for a university scholarship.
Your gift supports the programs that are geared toward creating leaders for positive change in their communities by investing in young people.
